Teresa grew up in the Paterson area of the state and earned her degree in fashion marketing at Berkeley College. Giudice worked as an associate buyer in the retail industry, until she joined the cast of The Real Housewives of New Jersey for its first debut season in 2009.
During her time with the show, audiences witnessed Teresa’s various business endeavors, including the authoring of multiple New York Times best-selling books: Skinny Italian (2010), Fabulicious (2011), and Fabulicious!: Fast & Fit (2012.) She also launched a hair care line and a line of cocktails inspired by the classic Bellini, called “Fabellini.” She also appeared in competition on The Celebrity Apprentice 5, where she placed fifth before being “fired” and raised seventy thousand dollars for The NephCure Foundation.
In the early 2010’s Teresa Giudice and her husband, Joe Giudice, were convicted of fraud and sentenced to time in a federal prison, split into “shifts” so that one of the parents could remain home with their four daughters. Teresa was released from her time served in 2015, and her husband began his sentence in the spring of 2016. He is scheduled to remain in prison for forty-one months. Teresa Giudice’s experience was chronicled in her 2016 book, Turning the Tables: From Housewife to Inmate and Back Again.
