The American blues rock band Chris Robinson Brotherhood was established in 2011 by Black Crowes front man Chris Robinson. To form the band, Robinson teamed up with musicians Neal Casal, Adam MacDougall, Mark Dutton, and George Sluppick. Initially, Robinson only intended to establish the brotherhood as a local band to play around the Los Angeles area; by 2011, Chris Robinson Brotherhood had embarked on a nationwide tour to great acclaim and significant commercial success.
Chris Robinson Brotherhood’s debut album, Big Moon Ritual, arrived in the following year, rising to the number sixty-three spot on the mainstream charts in the United States. The album The Magic Door followed in 2012, and then Phosphorescent Harvest in 2014. Two live albums – Betty’s Blends Vol. 1 and Betty’s Blends Vol. 2 – were also released between 2013 and 2015, and within six years Chris Robinson Brotherhood had become a major staple on the festival circuit nationwide.
Today, Chris Robinson Brotherhood continues to perform, record and tour with the current lineup of Robinson, Casal, MacDougall, Tony Leone, and Jeff Hill. The band’s most recent album – If You Lived Here, You Would Be Home by Now – arrived in late 2016.
