The Grammy award winning gospel singer Jacky Clark-Chisholm was born in 1948. Long before Jacky and her sisters rose to fame as part of the gospel group, The Clark Sisters, she grew up inspired by her mother’s work as a gospel performer and composer. While still young women, Jacky and her sisters established the Clark Sisters, rising to fame and giving audiences some of the most significant gospel hits of the era.
Jacky Clark-Chisholm released her debut solo album, Expectancy, in 2005. The album was a gospel hit and featured the songs “My Soul Says Yes,” “We Are Overcomers,” and “Oil of God.” In addition to her recordings, Clark-Chisholm frequently appears on stage in gospel musicals, including: The Man of Her Dreams, Can’t a Woman Make a Man Lose His Mind, and Mama Don’t.
When she is not performing, Jacky Clark-Chisholm serves as an Evangelist at her church in Detroit, Michigan. Jacky is also a registered nurse, and serves as an instructor for the American Red Cross and spokesperson for the American Diabetes Association. Clark-Chisholm also established the Clark Conservatory of Music in 1979. The facility is also located in Detroit, Michigan.
