Jennifer Williams is best known as one of the cast members of VH1’s hit show, Basketball Wives. Williams joined series right away in the first season as the wife of basketball star Eric Williams; the two were among the few officially married couples on the show, but shortly after the series launched the couple filed for divorce in 2010.
Before marrying Eric in 2007 and appearing on the show, Jennifer was born in the early 1970’s in the South Orange area of New Jersey. Williams grew up in a moderate level of affluence; her father was a personal financial advisor and her mother was an RN at the local hospital. After graduating cum laude from the University of Maryland with her degree in political science, Jennifer became a bit of an entrepreneur, becoming a shareholder in a fitness studio and pursuing a number of other opportunities.
Jennifer and Eric joined the cast of Basketball Wives in 2010, and remained with the show through season four. After a contract dispute, Jennifer left the show in season five; the series itself concluded after season six.
