Joe Rogan was born in 1967 in Newark, New Jersey. His first interests and aspirations were in the field of martial arts, and Rogan eventually went on to become the U.S. Open Champion in taekwondo. But an experience co-starring on the television series Hardball in 1994 led to multiple offers for subsequent acting jobs, and Joe Rogan found himself with a highly successful career in television comedy.
After Hardball, Rogan starred on the show NewsRadio (1995-1999), and in 1997 began working as an interviewer and commentator for the Ultimate Fighting Championship, honing his hosting skills and preparing him for the role with which is most associated today, as host of Fear Factor, a role he has enjoyed since 2001. Alongside Doug Stanhope, Rogan also hosted the Man Show from 2003-2004, and he began his own successful podcast in 2009; the Joe Rogan Experience has since gone on to become one of iTunes most highest rated podcasts.
In addition to his podcast and hosting, Joe Rogan has enjoyed a number of successful stand-up comedy tours and albums, including: Shiny Happy Jihad, and Joe Rogan: Talking Monkeys in Space. Joe Rogan can most recently be seen in the films Zookeeper (2011) and Here Comes the Boom (2012.)
