The American television personality Erin Andrews was born in 1978 in Lewiston, Maine. Before Erin rose to fame as the host of FOX College Football, she grew up with her father in Tampa, Florida, and was heavily influenced by his experiences as an Emmy-Award sinning investigative reporter for WFLA-TV. As a teenager, Andrews excelled at school and graduated from the University of Florida with a BA in Telecommunications, entering the field of journalism immediately upon graduating.
Erin’s first gig was at Fox Sports Florida working as a reporter for the network in the early 2000’s, and then the Turner South Network covering the Atlanta teams: Hawks, Thrashers, and Braves. From there, she went to the Sunshine Network, to Good Morning America as a contributor, and then ESPN, reporting on everything from the College World Series to the Scripps National Spelling Bee. In 2012, she left ESPN to join Fox Sports, and entered the role with which she is most frequently associated today, as the host of Fox College Football and Fox College Sunday, and as a contributor to the network in other capacities. Andrews also recently competed on the tenth season of Dancing with the Stars, and in 2014 she joined the show as a co-host following the departure of Brooke Burke-Charvet. She also recently joined Fox’s NFL broadcasting crew, replacing Pam Oliver, in the summer of 2014.
In addition to her sports reporting, Erin Andrews has also lent her talents to a number of charitable organizations, including hosting a relief concert for the American Red Cross and serving as the spokesperson for Kraft Foods Huddle to Fight Hunger.
