Sublime with Rome Biography
The band known as Sublime with Rome was established in 2010, by founding members Eric Wilson (formerly of the band Sublime) and Rome Ramirez. After the untimely death of Sublime’s front man Bradley Nowell in 1996, Eric Wilson launched a number of projects, ultimately teaming up with Ramirez to perform classic Sublime hits such as “Boss DJ” and “Saw Red.” A performance at the Smokeout Festival in 2009 led to a decision to go forward as “Sublime,” but conflicts with Nowell’s estate led to the modification of the band name to “Sublime with Rome.”
Sublime with Rome hit the road in 2010 with a number of shows scheduled for Europe and North America. Following their return, Sublime with Rome entered the studio and began work writing and recording for a new album. The result, Yours Truly, was highly successful upon its release, rising into the top ten on both the mainstream charts and the rock charts in the United States. The album spawned the top five alternative hit, “Panic” and the additional single “Take It or Leave It.”
Since that time, Sublime with Rome has also released the additional album Sirens, featuring the single “Wherever You Go.” Sublime with Rome has toured extensively each year since its inception in 2010; in 2017, the duo will hit the road with The Offspring for a summer tour.
