English singer and songwriter Liam Gallagher was born in 1972 in Manchester. Today, Liam is best known as one of the founding members of the band Oasis, but long before his rise to prominence, Liam suffered a tumultuous upbringing. According to his interviews, he suffered extensive abuse at the hands of his father while growing up. Liam has said that the abuse inspired him to seek solace in music; In his late teens, he learned to hone his talents as a vocalist and eventually joined the band which would become Oasis.
After a four-song setlist in Glasgow, Oasis was offered a record deal with Creation Records, signing with the label for a six-record agreement in the mid 1990’s. The band went on to record a number of highly successful albums and rack up dozens of NME Awards for Best Act, Best Live Band, Band of the Year, and multiple other categories between 1996 and 2003. After Oasis disbanded, some members of the group, including Gallagher, regrouped to form the band Beady Eye, releasing a handful of albums before disbanding in 2014.
In 2016, Liam Gallagher launched a solo career which is still on the rise and proving to be successful.
