Rüfüs Du Sol Biography
Rüfüs Du Sol is an Australian electronic dance band formed in 2010. The group was formed by Tyrone Lindqvist, Jon George, and James Hunt in Sydney, Australia. Rüfüs Du Sol would release the debut EP RÜFÜS in 2011 and release their debut single “We Left” in the summer of that same year.
Rüfüs Du Sol would release another EP in 2012 before releasing their debut album Atlas in 2013 to much critical acclaim. A lot of singles from the project were received positively by many listeners across the globe, and Rüfüs Du Sol’s follow-up album Bloom was met with similar praise in 2016.
Rüfüs Du Sol debut album would be certified Platinum by the ARIA and top the charts in their home country. Their second album would be certified Platinum as well while topping the charts again and peaking at #14 in New Zealand. Their last album Solace peaked at #2 in Australia and #32 in New Zealand. Their most successful single is “You Were Right,” which was certified double platinum and topped the Australia Indie chart.
Rüfüs Du Sol recently released an EP entitled Solace Remixed, featuring many remixes from their third album Solace.
