The American golfer Bob Estes was born in 1966 in Texas. Bob was raised in the Abilene area of the state, learning to play golf when he was still a preschooler and eventually reaching professional status even before he was a teenager. During his time at the University of Texas, Bob Estes played for the institution’s golf team, distinguishing himself with the Haskins Award for most outstanding collegiate golfer in 1988. Other amateur achievements include winning the Trans-Mississippi Amateur in 1985, and the Texas State Amateur in 1988.
Bob Estes’s professional career rose in the mid 1990’s, and between 1994 and 2002 he earned four PGA Tour victories. During this time, Estes became well-known for his commitment to overall athletic health, following regiments of healthy diets and physical conditioning. Notable achievements during Bob Estes’s career include: winning the Texas Open in 1994; winning the FedEx St. Jude Classic in 2001; winning the Invensys Classic at Las Vegas in 2001; and winning the Kemper Insurance open in 2002. Estes has also ranked by the Official World Golf Ranking in the top twenty of players, and he has made it into the top five at the Masters Tournament.
