Justin Moore was born in 1984 and began his journey to country music star when he was still in high school. Shortly after graduating, he moved to Nashville and by 2008, he’d signed to Big Machine Records, after charming the executives at the label with his songwriting talents and his musical style, an easy-going country sound with just a touch of southern twang.
Justin Moore’s debut singles, “I Could Kick Your Ass” and “Back That Thing Up” reached into the country charts and paved the way for his debut album, Justin Moore, released in the following year. His debut reached to an astonishing number three on the country charts, bolstered in part by multiple singles spawned from the album: “Small Town USA,” “Backwoods,” and “How I Got to Be This Way.” A promotional tour followed, bringing Justin Moore’s music across the country to small venues, and within a year, plans were underway for Justin Moore’s sophomore effort. “It Heaven Wasn’t So Far Away” was released as the lead-off for Justin’s next studio album release, Outlaws Like Me, and rose to the number one spot on the country single charts. The two subsequent singles, “Til My Last Day” and “Bait a Hook” were equally successful, both rising into the top twenty and the former also reaching the number one spot.
Justin Moore’s career is just getting started, but he is already back in the studio preparing for his next album. He recently released the album’s lead-off single, “Point at You,” in the spring of 2013.
