Brothers Osborne Biography

The American country music duo known as Brothers Osborne was established in the early 2010’s by brothers John and T.J. Osborne. Long before the siblings were formally established as Brothers Osborne, T.J. and John grew up in Maryland, learning to play guitar and sing. The brothers initially performed in a cover band known as Deuce and a Quarter, until they moved to Nashville, Tennessee.

After arriving in Nashville in the mid-2000’s, T.J. and John established themselves as Brothers Osborne and signed with EMI Records. They entered the studio and began preparing for their debut, which arrived in the form of the single, “Let’s Go There” in 2013. The song rose to the top of the country charts, setting the stage for their second single, “Rum,” which also enjoyed commercial success and critical acclaim. An EP arrived in the following year, featuring both hits plus the song “Stay a Little Longer.” The single has so far become the group’s most successful single, rising to the number two spot in early 2016.

Brothers Osborne is a duo definitely on the rise and one to watch in the coming years. The brothers recently released their debut album, Pawn Shop, in January of 2016. The album rose to the number three spot on the country charts and also the top twenty on the mainstream charts. Brothers Osborne was also recognized with a Country Music Association nomination in 2015, for Vocal Duo of the Year, and a Grammy Award nomination for Best Vocal Duo/Group Performance, for “Stay a Little Longer.”
