Gabby Barrett is an American singer and songwriter born in 2000. She was born and raised in Munhall, Pennsylvania, and grew up with seven other siblings. She used music as an escape and began singing at age 9 and performing at age 11. Barrett eventually joined a church choir in 2014 and started performing in her hometown.
Barrett auditioned for the sixteenth (and comeback) season of American Idol in 2018. It was there she quickly emerged as a fan favorite as she progressed through the motions, eventually earning third place that season. Barrett continued to write music and released her EP The Fireflies later that year.
Barrett has opened for a multitude amount of country artists including Keith Urban and Toby Keith, among others. She has sung at major sporting events such as MLB and NFL games, and eventually the Daytona 500. In 2019 Barrett began prepping for her debut album with the release of singles “I Hope” and “The Good Ones,” which were both received well critically.
Barrett continued to prep for her debut album and recently inked a deal with Warner Music Nashville.
