Groove Armada Biography

The electronic music duo known as Groove Armada was established in London in the mid 1990’s, founded by Tom Findlay and Andy Cato. The duo enjoyed a few singles which placed on the charts in the late 1990’s, after the release of their debut, Northern Star, which achieved moderate success.

Groove Armada followed up Northern Star with a number of successful albums: Vertigo (1999), Goodbye Country (Hello Nightclub) (2001), Lovebox (2002), Soundboy Rock (2007), Black Light (2010), and White Light (2010.) During this time, both members of Groove Armada also worked with a variety of other artists on other projects, and together they have collaborated with such artists as Will Young, Jeru the Damaja, Nappy Roots, Sophie Barker, and Neneh Cherry. In addition, music from Groove Armada has appeared in the films Tomb Raider (“Edge Hill”); Miss Congeniality (“If Everybody Looked the Same”); and About Time (“At the River”), to name a few credits.

Most recently, Groove Armada released their latest EP, Pork Soda, featuring the songs “Jack in Black,” “Hyde & Freak,” and “Pork Soda.”
