The DJ and producer Seth Troxler was born in Michigan and raised in the Detroit area of the state. Troxler grew up listening to his father’s radio show, which provided him some exposure to hip hop and house music, and his early experiences at the radio station inspired him to eventually pursue a career as a DJ. As a teenager, Seth immersed himself in the area’s underground and rave scene, and it was through this experiences that he developed his sound as a DJ.
By the time he’d graduated from high school, Troxler had already started his career. His earliest gigs were accompanying other artists on small tours to Europe, and it wasn’t long before he decided to relocate to Berlin. Since that time, Seth Troxler has performed at clubs and venues around the world, including Fabric, Womb, and Circo Loco. Troxler’s remixes include an impressive array of works by other musicians, including: “Swimming” (Tracey Thorn); “RUN” (Paul Ritch & D’Julz); “Boy Trouble” (Benoit & Sergio); “Acid in my Fridge” (Dinky); “Pinky’s Dream” (David Lynch); “Fighting is Futile” (Matthew Dear); and “Champagne Coast” (Blood Orange.)
Most recently, Seth Troxler teamed up with Shaun Reeves, Lee Curtiss, and Ryan Crosson to create the Visionquest collection and record label. Visionquest tours frequently, taking the artists to clubs around the world, and also supports other artists, such as Footprintz, Tale of Us, and Benoit & Sergio, as a vehicle through which to release their music.
