The DJ artist known as Quintino was born Quinten van den Berg in Den Helder, in the Netherlands, in 1985. Young Quinten grew up in a family that encouraged his musical interests from a very early age. When he decided to begin DJ-ing in his father’s club at the young age of fifteen, he did so with the full support of his parents, and throughout his final years of high school, he continued to DJ on the weekends to further develop a talent which would later lead to his career.
At the age of eighteen, Quintino began working under the guidance of Laidback Luke, who fostered the young talent and provided him an outlet to release his earliest tracks, including “Supersonic,” “Girls, and “Booker.” For the next few years, Quintino released a number of successful mixes, most notably Cidinho & Doca’s “Rap Das Armas,” which rose to the top of the charts in 2009. The hit “Heaven” (featuring Mitch Crown) followed, and in 2009 Quintino found himself on an extensive European tour, bringing him to Germany, Belgium, Turkey, Greece, and Italy.
Quintino’s career is definitely on the rise, and he’s certainly one to watch in the coming years. Most recently, Quintino released “Circuits,” his collaboration with MOTI, in 2012, and launched multiple tours in support of Afrojack and Tiesto.
