The Canadian electronic music band known as Keys N Krates was established in 2008 in Toronto, by founding members Jr. Flo (Greg Dawson), David Matisse, and Adam Tune. The group burst into the international music scene in 2013 with their EP, SOLOW, although Keys N Krates had released two EPs in the years prior (Blackout, 2011; and Lucid Dreams, 2013.)
But it was SOLOW and the single “Treat Me Right” which began to garner Keys N Krates significant attention from the international press, paving the way for the group’s biggest hit, “Dum Dee Dum,” which arrived in 2013. The song earned Keys N Krates multiple award nominations, including: a Prism Prize award nomination from the Association for Music and Innovative Arts; a Video of the Year nomination from the Berlin Music Video Awards; and a Dance Video of the Year nomination from the Much Music Video Awards.
Since SOLOW, Keys N Krates has released the additional albums Every Nite (2014) and Midnite Mass (2016), giving audiences the additional singles, “Keep it 100,” “Are We Faded,” “Save Me,” “I Know U,” and “U Already Know.” The song “Save Me” earned Keys N Krates their first Juno Award, for Dance Recording of the Year.
