Gunz For Hire Biography

The hardstyle DJ duo known as Gunz for Hire, consisting of artists Ran-D (Randy Weiland) and Adaro, was established in 2011. Ran-D had been performing and releasing music since 2006, with his earlier hits (such as “D-Pression,” “River of Sound,” and “Living for the Moment”) garnering him significant acclaim. In looking for an opportunity to collaborate to create a new duo, Ran-D teamed up with Adaro (who’d experienced significant success with his hits “The Haunter of the Dark” and “No Time to Sleep”) to create Gunz for Hire.

Gunz for Hire’s introduction at Decibel 2011 during a live performance was received most enthusiastically by the attending crowd, and quickly made the duo one of the most successful of the year. Since that time, Gunz for Hire has been churning out hits such as “Kings of the Underground,” “Put it On,” “The Cycle,” and “Sorrow.”

Gunz for Hire is fairly new on the scene, but the duo has already been recognized with multiple awards. The song “Sorrow” has been chosen as the number one hardstyle song of the year (for 2011), and the duo has earned the “Best New Face” award at the Hard Dance Awards in 2012. In 2013, Gunz for Hire rose to the number sixty-three spot on DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJ’s list, and it is certain that in the future, the duo’s position will continue to rise.
