apl.de.ap is a Filipino-American singer and producer born Allan Pineda Lindo in 1974. He was born in Angeles, Pampanga, Philippines, and moved to Los Angeles during his teenage years. apl.de.ap would befriend William Adams aka will.i.am in high school., and in the late 1980s, the duo would be the beginning of The Black Eyed Peas.
apl.de.ap would go on a lengthy run with Taboo and be their most successful commercially with the female vocalist Fergie in the mix. Over the course of over three decades, apl.de.ap and the group would perform on some of the world’s biggest stages and top charts across various continents and countries. In 2011, apl.de.ap released his debut solo project and continued to release various singles over the years.
apl.de.ap would win many awards over the course of his time with The Black Eyed Peas, including six Grammy Awards. He would be featured on two double Platinum albums and one triple Platinum album for the band, and contribute on such records like the triple Platinum “Let’s Get It Started” and the Diamond “I Gotta Feeling.”
