D-Wayne Biography
The DJ known as D-Wayne was born in Dwayne Megans in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, in 1994. His parents named him after the famous Grand Prix motorcycle racer Wayne Rainey, although they were far greater fans of classic rock than they were of racing. In fact, as Dwayne grew up, he was surrounded by a household filled with a love of music; his parents introduced him to the music of the 1970’s, especially Led Zeppelin, and D-Wayne learned to appreciate a variety of genres long before his interest began to focus on techno and electronic music.
So it was certainly no surprise when D-Wayne began experimenting with his own sound in the mid 2010’s, mixing music and honing his craft. After sending one of his earlier tracks to Afrojack, D-Wayne found not only an opportunity but an ally; since that time, Afrojack has supported the budding artist extensively, releasing his music on his own label and bringing him along as a supporting act for his most recent world tour.
As a result, in the last few years D-Wayne has become one of the industry’s most notable DJs, mixing music by such artists as Jennifer Lopez, Enrique Iglesias, R3hab, and – of course - Afrojack. D-Wayne’s career is definitely on the rise and as he continues to make live appearances and collaborate with other musicians, he will definitely be one to watch.
