Borgore Biography

The Israeli singer and electronic music producer known as Borgore was born Asaf Borger in 1987 and initially rose to fame as a member of the band Shabira. After leaving the band, Borgore became a solo dubstep artist, but recently shifted gears to a more house-oriented sound.

Borgore is fairly new to the music scene as a solo artist, having released his debut, Gorestep: Vol 1, in 2009. The album was a hit, and spawned a number of additional albums, mixtapes, and EPs, including: Delicious EP (2011), The Filthiest Hits… So Far (2011), Decisions EP (2012), Legend EP (2013), and Wild Out Remixes (2014.) Borgore is known as well for his remixes, including: “Womanizer” ( Britney Spears); “Sleepyhead” (Passion Pit); “Get Over You” (Neon Hitch); “ Kiss My Lips” (Dev); “Molly” (Cedric Gervais); “Master of Puppets” ( Metallica); and “Hanging On Me” (Dirtyphonics.) Borgore also recently released “Decisions,” a single featuring Miley Cyrus on backup vocals.

Borgore works as hard as a producer as he does as an artist, having founded the label Buygore Records, which features such artists as Document One, Rusko, Dead Audio, Kennedy Jones, and At Dawn We Rage. Borgore has plans for future material and collaborations with a number of a artists on a variety of projects in the near future.
