Marshmello Biography

The electronic dance music artist known as Marshmello rose to prominence in 2015, earning growing recognition for his remixes of hits, such as Selena Gomez’s “I Want You to Know” and Ariana Grande’s “One Last Time.” His remix of Adele’s megahit “Hello” truly put him on the map, and by the end of the year he was known throughout the world as the artist who masks his appearance with a custom helmet (known now as the “Marshmello helmet”) during live performances.

Marshmello released his debut album, Joytime, in early 2016. The album provided ten tracks, with contributions from artists such as Omar LinX, Jauz, and Slushii. The album itself rose into the top five on the dance charts in the United States, and spawned multiple charting singles, including: “Freal Luv” (with Far East Movement); “Ritual” (with Wrabel); “Moving On,” and the number one dance hit, “Silence” (featuring Khalid), which has since gone on to become Marshmello’s highest charting single.

Marshmello is clearly a brand new electronic music artist on the rise and one to watch in the coming years. His latest single, “Wolves,” features Selena Gomez and rose into the top ten on the international dance charts. He also recently released the remixes: “Make Me (Cry”) ( Noah Cyrus) and “Mask Off” ( Future.)
