Russell Howard is an English comedian and actor born in 1980. He was born and raised in Bristol, England, and after graduating college Howard began pursuing a career in both television and radio in the mid-2000s. It was there he began to find a passion for comedy specifically.
Russell Howard began working for BBC in 2004 before becoming a recurring panelist on the television programs Mock the Week. He would appear on a series of other television programs and held his position on Mock the Week until 2010. In 2011 he would debut on American television on Conan and land gigs on Comedy Central in both 2015 and 2016.
Russell Howard has filmed a total of five stand-up comedy specials and has performed in some of London’s most esteemed venues including the Bloomsbury Theatre and Hammersmith Apollo. He has had his comedy put on radio programs on BBC Radio 1 and television programs on Comedy Central and BBC One, among others. Howard was voted the “Weird Crush of the Year” in 2013 by Heat Magazine.
