BTS Biography
BTS is a band formed in 2013. The group consists of Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. BTS was formed in Seoul, South Korea, and is one of the original K-Pop acts within the genre and is the biggest known act in today’s music scene for the genre.
BTS would release their debut project in 2013 entitled 2 Cool 4 Skool and over the next couple of years, they would work their way up the ranks to be one of the hottest names in South Korea. BTS would achieve mainstream success upon the release of their third EP The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Part 1, and international success with the release of their track “DNA” in 2017.
BTS’s debt project would peak at #2 on the Korean chart with their next two albums topping the chart. Their second album would peak at #26 on the Billboard 200 while their third album Love Yourself: Tear would top the Billboard 200 and be certified Gold by the RIAJ. Their breakout international single “DNA” would peak at #67 on the Billboard Hot 100 and be certified Gold by the RIAA.
BTS recently released a string of singles in 2019 with American singers, and the record with singer Halsey entitled “Boy with Luv” would peak at #8 on the Billboard Hot 100.
