Bill Burr was born in 1968 in Canton, Massachusetts. After graduating from Emerson, College, Bill began experimenting with stand-up comedy and quickly found that he had a natural talent for it. After working as the host of a morning radio show for a while after graduating, Bill made the leap and moved to California to try his hand at a career in comedic film and television.
Burr’s career in comedy didn’t really take off until well into the new millennium however, although he did work on a number of television and film projects in the 1990’s. After performing on a number of key late-night shows, including David Letterman and Conan O’Brien, Burr filmed his own HBO One Night Stand special in 2005. His popularity growing, he signed to a record label and released a number of comedy CDs and DVDs, including: Emotionally Unavailable (2003), Why Do I Do This? (2008), Let it Go (2010), and You People Are All the Same (2012.)
In addition to his stand-up specials and appearances on television, Bill Bur has a one-hour podcast which airs weekly. He also contributes to other podcasts, including: The Joe Rogan Experience, Nobody Likes Onions, WTF with Marc Maron, the Adam Carolla Show, and the Opie & Anthony Show. Burr continues to perform innumerous live shows every year.
