Rob Schneider was born in 1963 in San Francisco, California. While still a teenager in high school, Schneider began performing stand-up around town, often opening for other acts, and even branched out to the local radio stations. A gig opening for the comedian Dennis Miller led to an offer for Rob to appear on the 13th Annual young Comedians special on HBO, which led to his role with Saturday Night Live in 1988.
Rob Schneider joined the cast of SNL initially as a writer, but quickly became a full cast member and remained there for four years. During his tenure on the show, Schneider is credited with the creation of dozens of memorable characters, including Orgasm Guy, Richard Laymer, Carlo, The Sensitive Naked Man, and Tiny Elvis. Following his departure from the show, Rob appeared in a number of films and on a number of television shows, including: Judge Dredd, The Beverly Hillbillies, Down Periscope, Demolition Man, Coach, Men Behaving Badly, Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo, The Animal, The Hot Chick, The Benchwarmers, Around the World in 80 Days, Grown Ups, The Waterboy, Little Nicky, 50 First Dates, Bedtime Stories, and You Don’t Mess with the Zohan.
