Ron White was born in 1956 in Fritch, Texas. White joined the US Navy when he was only seventeen years old, but even from a young age he harbored a dream for a future in comedy. After leaving the navy, Ron sought to fulfill his childhood dream. His tenacity paid off – after spending nearly twenty years playing local bars and clubs, struggling to pay the bills, White was offered the opportunity to join Jeff Foxworthy on his Blue Collar Comedy Tour, and Ron’s career took off.
With Foxworthy, Bill Engvall, and Larry the Cable Guy, Ron White toured across the country between 2000 and 2003 as a part of a show that ultimately grossed fifteen million dollars. From there on out, his popularity grew, and he appeared on a variety of television shows and in a number of films, including: Blue Collar TV, Kath & Kim, Reno 911!, Sex and the City 2, and Horrible Bosses. His most famous stand-up shows, including the You Can’t Fix Stupid show, feature Ron performing while drinking Scotch, a gimmick that has become associated with his act. In addition to his successful appearances, Ron White has also released a number of CDs and DVDs, including: Tater Salad aka. Busted in Des Moines (1990), Drunk in Public (2003), They Call me “Tater Salad” (2004), You Can’t Fix Stupid (2006), Ron White: Behavioral Problems (2009), and A Little Unprofessional (2012.)
