KC & the Sunshine Band's "Please Don't Go" in 1979 was followed by The Painter and Space Cadet in 1981. KC Ten followed, and then in 1985, Casey himself decided to take a break from the music scene. KC & the Sunshine Band came back in 1991, and Oh Yeah! was released in 1993.
