Cassidy Biography
The hip hop artist known as Cassidy was born Barry Adrian Reese in 1982 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Cassidy emerged on the hip hop scene in the early 2000’s with his debut single, “Hotel,” featuring fellow musician R. Kelly. The quick rise of the single to the top of the mainstream charts launched a career for Cassidy which has continued on the rise for the last decade.
After signing with Full Surface, Cassidy went on to release a second debut single, “Get No Better,” followed by the debut album, Split Personality. The album rose to gold status within its first month and paved the way for the following albums: I’m a Hustla (2005), B.A.R.S. The Barry Adrian Reese Story (2007), and C.A.S.H. (2010.) The albums gave audiences the songs: “I’m a Hustla”; “B-Boy Stance” (featuring Swizz Beatz); “My Drink n My 2 Step” (featuring Swizz Beatz): “Innocent Man (Misunderstood)” (featuring Mark Morrison); “Drumma Bass”; and “We Working” (featuring Jag.)
