Marlon Roudette Biography
The British musician Marlon Roudette was born in 1983 in London. Marlon grew up influenced by his father’s love of music; the senior Roudette worked as a music producer. When Marlon was a child, he moved to Trinidad and then the island of St. Vincent, where he lived until he was in his late teens. After returning to London, Marlon first joined the band Mattafix, but within a short time he decided to pursue a career as a solo artist.
Roudette released his debut album, Matter Fixed, in 2011. The album rose to the top of the charts in Germany and also charted well in the UK, Sweden, and Australia and spawned the hit single “New Age,” which charted in the top ten internationally. The additional singles “Anti Hero (Brave New World)” and “Hold on Me” followed, and then Marlon Roudette released his sophomore album, Electric Soul, in 2014.
Electric Soul spawned the hit “When the Beat Drops Out,” which also rose to the top of the charts internationally. The album also gave audiences the song “Flicker.” Roudette is most definitely an artist on the rise and one to watch. Plans for the near future for Marlon include live performances scheduled throughout 2015 and additional releases from Electric Soul.
