Lil Scrappy Biography
The rapper known as Lil Scrappy was born Darryl Kevin Richardson in 1984 in Atlanta, Georgia. A chance meeting with Lil Jon at a local bar led to Lil Scrappy’s first record deal with BME Recordings.
Lil Scrappy released his debut album, Bred 2 Die – Born 2 Live in 2006. The album featured guest appearances by some of the biggest names in hip-hop and rap, including 50 Cent, Young Buck, and Three 6 Mafia, and spawned the hit single “No Problem.” Tha Gru$tle followed in 2012, giving audiences the single “Money in the Bank.” During this time Lil Scrappy also collaborated on two other projects: The King of Crunk & BME Recordings Present: Trillville & Lil Scrappy; and Silence & Secrecy: Black Rag Gang (with G’$ Up Click.)
