SAINt JHN Biography
SAINt JHN is an American performer and producer born in 1990. He was born in Brooklyn and raised between there and the country of Guyana. He would begin rapping in high school and start releasing music at the beginning of 2010. JHN would see success in his early years as a songwriter, writing for Usher and EDM artists like Kiesza and Gorgon City, among others.
In 2016, JHN would release his breakout single “Roses,” although it would not see commercial success until four years later. During this time, he opened for rapper Post Malone and was featured on singer Jidenna’s album the following year. JHN was hired as a model by Gucci and continued to write and perform music, including a performance at Rolling Loud in Miami. In 2020, the social media app TikTok blew up his song “Roses” after it was remixed by producer Imanbek.
His independent album, Collection One, would peak at #50 on the Billboard 200, and his debut studio album, Ghetto Lenny’s Love Songs, would peak at #39. He would get the opportunity to work with both Lil Baby and Beyoncé, with the latter featuring him on The Lion King: The Gift Album. The Lil Baby track was certified Gold and the Beyoncé song peaked at #76 on the Billboard Hot 100. JHN’s breakout hit “Roses” would be certified Platinum and peak at #4 on the Hot 100 while topping the charts in Australia, Canada, the Netherlands, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom.
JHN would release a remix to “Roses” with fellow rapper Future and recently appeared on Tyla Yaweh and Post Malone’s remix of “ Tommy Lee.”
