Sheck Wes Biography

Sheck Wes is an American rapper and model born Khadimou Rassoul Cheikh Fall in 1998. He was born in Harlem, New York and spent time in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, before returning to New York at age 14. While in Milwaukee, Wes began making music at age 11 to relieve stress from his living environment. In high school, he was scouted by a fashion agency at a basketball game, and he later skipped class events to model for Yeezy Season 3 at Madison Square Garden.

Sheck Wes was soon signed by Travis Scott to his Cactus Jack label under Interscope. After releasing his debut single “Live Sheck Wes,” he released his breakout single “Mo Bamba,” named after the NBA draft prospect and close personal friend. The song skyrocketed hype for his debut album Mudboy, and Wes was later featured on Scott’s Astroworld album on the song “No Bystanders.”

Wes’ hit “Mo Bamba” was certified triple Platinum and peaked at #6 on the Billboard Hot 100, while also charting in Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom. His debut album Mudboy peaked at #17 on the Billboard 200 and #19 on the Canadian charts. The collaboration with Scott peaked at #31 on the Hot 100. The next year, Wes was featured on “Enzo,” a DJ Snake record that did well internationally. A slew of single released by Wes in preparation for his next project received great critical acclaim.

Sheck Wes is currently working on his next studio album, and his recent single “Losing My Mind” and “YKTS” have done extremely well across streaming platforms.
