The Geto Boys enjoyed success with their album Grip It! On That Other Level, but after Scarface released Mr. Scarface Is Back in 1991, his popularity began to grow as a solo artist, and by the new millennium, Scarface was known more for his solo work than his work with the Geto Boys.
As a solo artist, Scarface has released the albums: The World Is Yours (1993), The Diary (1994), The Untouchable (1997), My Homies (1998), The Last of a Dying Breed (2000), The Fix (2002), Balls and My World (2003), Made (2007), and Emeritus (2008.) Notable top twenty rap singles include: “Mr. Scarface,” “A Minute to Pray and a Second to Die,” “Let Me Roll,” “Now I Feel Ya,” “Hand of the Dead Body,” “I Seen a Man Die,” “Among the Walking Dead,” and “Smile.”
Scarface has also made appearances on a number of works in collaboration with other artists, including: “This Can’t Be Life” (with Jay-Z); “Daddy” (with Hussein Fatal); “Hustler’s Story” (with Notorious B.I.G); “Pillow Talkin” (with Tech N9ne); “Hard” (with Slim Thug); “Gangsta Rap Made Me Do It” (with Ice Cube); “Ride wit Me” (with Young Jeezy); “Pushin On” (with Outlawz); “Hip Hop” (with DJ Khaled): “I Been On” (with Beyonce); “If I Die Today” (with King Chip); and “Never Surrender” (with Meek Mill and Jadakiss.)
Most recently, Scarface worked with Ice Cube on a recording of the Insane Clown Posse remix, “Chris Benoit.” His most recent solo album release is Deeply Rooted, which arrived in 2014.
