G-Eazy Biography
G-Eazy initially entered the music scene as a producer, working on a number of singles for other artists while in college in New Orleans. Although he recorded some mixtapes during this time period, it wasn’t until he released The Endless Summer, a mixtape which featured a cover of the classic hit, “Runaround Sue,” that he began to garner some attention. The song was an online hit, paving the way for the feature-length album, Must Be Nice, which arrived in 2012.
Must Be Nice rose into the top five on the iTunes charts, and G-Eazy embarked on a tour, opening for Lil Wayne. The success of the independent album and his performances garnered him a record deal, and he released his major-label debut, These Things Happen, in 2014. Since that time, G-Eazy has been enjoying a career on the rise, performing at some of the nation’s biggest and well-known festivals, such as Austin City Limits, Bonnaroo, and Lollapalooza.
G-Eazy most recently released his second major label album, When It’s Dark Out, in late 2015. The album is currently climbing the charts; the single “Me, Myself & I” recently rose into the top ten on the mainstream charts.
