Fivio Foreign is an American emcee and performer born in 1996. He was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, and quickly immersed himself in the streets and the world of hip-hop. He would begin his career in the early 2010s under the stage name Lite Fivio before taking his current moniker in 2013. Fivio would begin seeing commercial success in 2019.
His breakout single, “Big Drip,” would put Fivio on the map in New York and beyond. That year he would release his debut EP under Columbia, and fellow New Yorker Mase’s RichFish Records imprint, entitled Pain and Love. He would see mainstream success when he collaborated with superstar Drake on the record “Demons.” Fivio then released his second EP, 800 B.C, to critical acclaim.
Fivio’s second EP would peak at #159 on the Billboard 200 and top the charts on the Heatseekers list. “Big Drip” would receive a remix from Quavo and Lil Baby, helping the song get a Gold certification and peak at #25 on the Rap Airplay chart. Fivio would also chart with the Drake-assisted “Demons,” peaking at #34 on the Billboard Hot 100, as well as Lil Tjay and Pop Smoke’s song “Zoo York,” which peaked at #65 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Fivio has recently been selected as a Freshman in XXL’s 2020 class and has collaborated with more artists in recent months, including A$AP Ferg and Nas.
