The producer known as Mike Will Made It was born Michael Len Williams II in Marietta, Georgia. Mike grew up initially harboring dreams of becoming a professional athlete, and he excelled in nearly every sport, playing football, baseball, and basketball for his high school. But he also developed a talent for music, frequently playing songs he’d heard by ear, on a number of different instruments.
It wasn’t long before Mike’s dad purchased him a beat machine, on which the teenager began to experiment, discovering his true talents in mixing and producing. After high school, Mike embarked on a quest to pursue a full-time career as a music producer and mixer, establishing his moniker Mike Will Made It and eventually releasing his debut single, “Tupac Back,” in 2011. The song rose into the top forty on the R&B/hip-hop charts and firmly established Mike Will Made It as a credible and talented producer.
Since that time, Mike Will Made It has produced hits for a number of notable artists, including Lil Wayne, Rihanna, and Miley Cyrus. Mike will Made It has also released four successful mixtapes: Est. in 1989 (Last of a Dying Breed), Est. in 1989 Pt. 2, Est. in 1989 Pt. 2.5, and #MikeWiLLBeenTriLL.
