Trevor Daniel is an American performer and songwriter born in 1994. He was born and raised in Houston, Texas, and would turn to music after an injury in high school caused him to leave the game of football. YouTube and Soundcloud helped propel his sound before he released songs like “Pretend” in 2018, songs that helped Trevor pop up on notable Spotify playlists and earn the title of Internet Money Records first signee.
He would be one of the first musicians to see the effects of the social media app TikTok on his songs. Trevor would see his single “Falling” propelled into the national spotlight, and generate looks to his first two projects, Homesick and Restless. The following year in 2020 he would release his debut album Nicotine, which featured the song “Past Life.” After receiving a remix from pop starlet Selena Gomez, that song further brightened Trevor’s star.
“Falling” would be certified double-Platinum by the RIAA and peak at #17 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #11 on the R&B/Hip-Hop chart. It would also appear in the top 20 spots on charts in Australia, Canada, Ireland, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom, among others. Trevor’s song “Past Life” would peak at #77 on the Billboard Hot 100 while his debut album it was featured on peaked at #79 on the Billboard 200 chart.
Trevor continues to make music and recently appeared with fellow musician Blackbear on his album Everything Means Nothing.
